Neuropsychologist

Robert Velin, Ph.D.

Dr. Velin is a highly experienced neuropsychologist with over 35 years of expertise in clinical practice and research involving both adults and children. He has worked with diverse populations and is committed to enhancing and preserving cognitive function. His focus includes optimizing performance for athletes, musicians, and business professionals, as well as supporting individuals with ADHD, Autism, processing disorders, learning disabilities, and treatment-resistant mood disorders, among others. His neurofeedback protocols are grounded in a comprehensive understanding of neurofunctional processes and systems, yielding positive outcomes for more than two decades.

Program Manager & Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist

Mendy Bucy, MSW, LCSW

Mendy is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, over two decades of which has been in the field of neurofeedback. Her in-depth understanding of the dynamics and interplay between neurocognitive challenges and behavior allows her to support clients wholistically and without judgment. Mendy enjoys working with individuals of all ages but specifically focuses on optimizing brain health for women experiencing changes associated with menopause, stress management, performance enhancement and individuals experiencing anxiety and depression. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, taking her dog Yadi for walks, and reading.

Julia Nicholson, BA

Julia graduated from the University of Montana in 2023 with a dual degree in Psychology and Social Work. As our most senior technician, she plays a key role in training new staff and developing our home training and reading programs. A native Montanan, she loves the outdoors and her dog, Jack Jack.

Tom Macko, MA

Tom joined Northwest Neurofeedback in 2024 bringing a multidisciplinary background, including neuroscience research and work as a registered behavior technician with children on the autism spectrum. An Ohio native, he is currently a PhD student in Experimental Psychology at the University of Montana.

Sharece Kamps, BA

Sharece joined our team in October 2024. A US Army veteran, she relocated to Montana in 2016 and sees clients of all ages, with a special passion for young children and veterans. She is also the primary technician for our home training program.

Administrative Assistant

Taylor Draper, BA

Taylor graduated from the University of Montana in 2024 with a degree in Psychology. She thrives on creating a warm, efficient environment for clients and is passionate about working with children and teens. She is currently applying to graduate school to specialize in adolescent trauma therapy.
