Training the brain to improve functioning

Managing symptoms may be more possible than you think

Neurofeedback can help address the symptoms associated with many different clinical diagnoses including: ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Tic Disorders, Mood Disorders/Depression, Concussions, and Executive Function Deficits (to name just a few). Regardless of the diagnosis, these conditions often respond very well to neurofeedback because they all have a common theme…dysregulation of brain activity. Since neurofeedback makes it possible for the brain to obtain feedback about where it is over or under activated, it can be an incredible intervention to help the brain become more regulated and, as a result, improve symptom control.

Unlike other treatments or interventions, neurofeedback helps the brain to re-wire areas that did not develop the pathways correctly the first time. As a result, the brain becomes more effective and efficient in how it creates and sends signals throughout the brain. This means that with the right feedback, the brain can literally rewire itself and you/your loved one’s symptoms become better managed.

Our clinical services

Based on the clinical diagnosis, neurofeedback can improve cognitive functioning in many populations including:

ADHD and Executive Function Deficits

Autism Disorders

Anxiety Disorders and Mood Disorders

Concussions and Head Injuries

Due to the complexity that often comes with clinical diagnoses, clinical neurofeedback requires a formal evaluation and diagnosis, typically completed by a clinical neuropsychologist.  If you are wondering about this service, please contact our office and we can discuss whether an evaluation to obtain a diagnosis is needed.
